Fresh Start

Hi, Hello... how are you?
Never quite sure how to start these things.
So, I’ve been reading a few blogs (mainly from friends & people I know) and it’s given me a bit of a boost to start my own.
I’ve gotten through a lot of paper journals throughout the years but they never seemed to stick & work for me, I find it a whole lot easier typing... specifically on my phone.
I think that’s maybe because it’s less intimidating?
Anyway, I’ve always written in my notes on my phone, thoughts reflections, observations.... so I thought I could do that, but a bit more pieced together. A way of reflecting on life, art, thoughts & observations.
It’s conveniently January as well (fresh start & all) and I’m currently procrastinating from doing uni work, so this is an IDEAL time to start!
To tell you a little about myself:
I’m Catherine Gittens, a Fine Art Student at Sheffield Hallam University. I love Jesus and believe he brings me true joy & life, more than anything else ever could. Life is therefore a bit of an adventure with Him, and will update all about that here! I also live for & love ART and all things creative. I’m currently in a bit of a creative lull, but we’ll get out of it soon. I also enjoy writing about & documenting life, but haven’t for a while so this is a good place to start!
I could go on more about me, but we have plenty of time to do that in other blogs... I would like to keep this space fairly open, so I feel like I can share and express myself through it freely!
To give you a little update, I’m currently on my Christmas holidays but they are rapidly coming to a halt, so am slowly adjusting back into the Uni head space. I’ve got a new haircut, not completely sure of it but it’ll grow on me (ha, get it?.... oh dear). I’ve also given myself a bit of a goal for when I get back to start swimming and dancing again, as I know it’ll be good for me... so will update you on my progress with that next time! For now, I’m going to stop procrastinating and get on with my Uni work... talk to you soon!
Lots of love,
Catherine x
